To contact us about submitting your document, you will first need to fill out our no-cost/no-obligation ONE-MINUTE Contact Form. Our editor will then reply electronically to your message with an estimate, and give you the opportunity to ask any other questions you may have. [Please note that, because AcademicEdit is a high-quality but low-cost Internet-based service, our client/editor exchanges are conducted by email only.]
 
Should you decide to use our services, you will send the document to the editor as an email attachment in one of the following formats:
  • Microsoft Word*
  • Rich Text Format—RTF**
*We will edit your document using the "Track changes" feature. **We will convert the document into Word for editing but then return it in RTF.

SERVICE RATES
To assess the number of pages you are submitting, divide the word count by 250. In the interests of quality assurance, we require a minimum one-business-day turnaround per 15 pages for any unseen manuscript no matter what the level of editing.

Proofreading*...............................................................$3.00 - 3.99 a page
Light content editing....................................................$4.00 - 5.49 a page
Medium content editing...............................................$5.50 - 8.49 a page
Heavy content editing..................................................$8.50 - 12.00 a page

*Refers to proofreading and basic correction of already edited text (e.g., article revisions/resubmissions); extremely light revisions may be charged at (lower) hourly fees at the editor's discretion. All editing services adjust for academic suitability as well as correctness; level is determined by number and type of amendments and intellectual complexity of editing.

Please note that AcademicEdit offers editing services only; even though heavy editing includes explanatory comments, we do not act as writing mentors, critics, or instructors. In addition, because we specialize in the advanced writing expected from faculty, we reserve the right to refuse pieces that do not meet this criterion. We also reserve the right to drop any client that misses three scheduled appointments without prior notification/cancellation.

PAYMENT
Once work on your project begins, the editor will send you a sample of the editing in progress for your approval. At this time, you will have an opportunity to discuss any concerns that you may have. Please note that, even though we will do our best to accommodate your wishes at all times, YOUR CONTRACTING WITH ACADEMICEDIT TO PERFORM SERVICES SIGNALS YOUR AGREEMENT TO PAY ALL EDITING CHARGES INCURRED FOR WORK ALREADY PERFORMED.
 
Once all the work you ordered has been completed, we will request payment through PayPal. This free service allows you to pay securely by credit/debit card or from your bank account. We regret that because of past problems, we will not return your complete edited document until payment has been received.
